Crossover is a nice idea too, actually... but isn't that a too common theme? I mean, I remember I did like two contests of that kind on TRF.

Crossovers are way too common that it's on the verge of boring. Unless this fighting crossover can really achieve something new and interesting then I'm not sure what to think. Depression is a bit....how do I say. It doesn't showcase enough. And having so many people doing the same thing, people are bound to submit something that is almost the same.

Why not do Emotion.

Which means, users can choose an emotion so atleast then it might help with the impact of the submitted entries.

1. Depression
2. Joy
3. Guilt
4. Pleasure

Or Robert Plutchik's theory

1. Fear
2. Anger
3. Sadness
4. Joy
5. Disgust
7. Trust
8. Anticipation
9. Surprise

That gives users 4 or 9 emotions to pick from and ofc sumbit 3 entries, the same or different.

Or what about the 7 deadly sins,

1. Wrath
2. Greed
3. Sloth
4. Pride
5. Lust
6. Envy
7. Gluttony

either way it gives everyone more freedom with what they submit

I know seasonal ones get boring itself, but since it is Spring, why not have it whatever you want (Literately whatever, within family friendly rules of course! ), but it has to have a Sakura tree in the background/scenery.

I also had an idea once, it was: recreation of famous paintings with XNA.
Maybe for another time... lol.
