It was trial and error for me when I encountered this problem before.
I've kind of managed to sort my own BS problems out now, though I still get the stupid error message every time I load something up, even when the damn thing is loaded fine.

Yeah for stuff like that I guess you have to be very careful, plan things out and save multiple file instances (Pose and Scene files seperately etc).
