Re: Back-face culling
For the Hitomi model, you can delete the back vertices of the hair, its just that the hair mesh verts were duplicated and flipped to show both sides of the hair. The headband is still there, just not showing since those vertices are facing the back, turn the model around and you will see the bandana is still there.
danniellahill, that isnt Back Face Culling, I dont think. That will be flipped normals, in Blender select the mesh, go to edit mode, select the whole mesh, and press W > Flip Normals.

Re: Back-face culling
I'm working on that issue with the Hitomi's hair as well. I know that back face culling & removing meshes are both options, but I intend to make one last pass at keeping both meshes if possible by scaling the mesh a bit.

Your Welcome
Proto, you could move the back mesh a little step away from the front mesh, not much away though so it doesnt look weird lol.

Re: Back-face culling
That's sort of what I'm doing. It's technically the Shrink / Fatten along normals that I picked up from one of Runa's techniques a while back. It seems to do the trick, I just haven't spent the time to finish it up on the correct meshes.... hoping to tonight.TRDaz wrote: Proto, you could move the back mesh a little step away from the front mesh, not much away though so it doesnt look weird lol.
