Not sure it counts worth a damn, but I'm gonna go with at least a decent amount of improvement. Discovering lighting was even a thing might've, added on to that. Don't have any of my first render's on hand, but they were basically just face shots? No environments or anything, so pretty much horribad. I say I still suck now but it's a hell of a lot better than when I got the program.

This sure is a huge bump, but... I've just found this old gif I made in 2009  The flip animation really makes me laugh

I think my skills improved a lot this year. My first ports were okay, but they didn't have lightmaps and I didn't know how to remove seams.
Now I know how to smooth the body parts deleting those horrible lines, I put lightmaps on every model and I create eventual specular and normal maps when they are missing. Lately I also started to use blender for many things: thanks to Someone now I know how to make a bone weight copy, I am able to fix minor weights problems and the suit Raiden is keeping me very busy with the vertex group renaming/parenting. I still have a long way ahead, but I consider these improvements a big reached goal :pi:
