Yet another Blender bone weight copy question :)

So I'm playing a little bit with a model right now and the right leg has bad weights compared to the left one. My question is, is it possible to copy the weights from one side of the leg to the other so I can get symmetrical results? TIA! :)

Uhmmm, I dunno, maybe by seperating the leg thats perfect, duplicating it (Ctrl + D) and flipping it (S, X, -1) and copying that way? But, you would have to rename the vertex groups once copied.

Hey Dazzy, thanks for that, I actually tried doing that before you posted but I don't know how to rename vertex groups, since when you click on that box it just brings up a list of all vertex groups. So do you make a copy the existing one then delete it afterwards?

You have to delete the old vertex groups by pressing delete on them all (underneath the box) then once the new ones are there, click on the box and it should let you edit the vertex group names :)

Cool! I'll give that a try then, thanks! :D

Thanks again, man, worked perfectly! Had some holes showing up in XNA afterwards though I just removed doubles and everything looked great! :D
