I really don't get whats the deal with this gore stuff. I mean i like my gore to be done by zombies but anime dolls?

Hm ? you don't know Saya no uta ?
it might be a spoil so don't read if you don't want to :

She's not human, the main character suffer from a trauma, he see everything like flesh and blood and human as monster expect for Saya, and that's because Saya is a monster with tentacle and some disgusting bloody flesh one day he find her eating something weird, he thinks that it's some kind of fruit and eat it too, but in realty it's his friend body

Those two render show the two different vision, well it keeps Saya human form because we never see how she look like
