Nearly done with the applying textures. Ran into alpha problems tho, what do I add to this setup so that it adds alpha?

Re: Blender Cycles + XnaLara Tutorials
do both image nodes use the same image texture? if so, you can delete the other one, and just connect the remaining one colour output to both the diffuse and glossy color input. it will be less confusingTRDaz wrote:Nearly done with the applying textures. then, you add another Mix Shader node. connect the first Mix Shader output to the lower node input of the second Mix Shader node.
then, on top of it, you add a Transparent shader.
then.... uhh lol, wait!
what version are you using? i dont see an alpha output on the Image Texture node

Re: Blender Cycles + XnaLara Tutorials
ah.. get the latest one, or 2.63 at least. it has Alpha map support.
your version (2.62) doesnt have it yet, meaning youll have to use photoshop or gimp to create black and white alpha image and use it in here which require even more nodes setup

after you add the Transparent shader, connect the Alpha output of the Image texture to the Fac input of the second Mix Shader.
lemme make a screenshot for you to better illustrate it
