Wrestlemania 33 was actually kind of enjoyable if only for the "moments" and nostalgia factor.
That FFXIV Stormblood marketing. (Shut up Cole!)
Broken Matt and Brother Nero are back? DELETE!!!!
Bork Lesnar vs Oldberg was actually told very well for their months of build up and really did have that big fight feel to it. Goes to show Goldberg can take some bumps for being the 50 year old.
Easily the worst way to go out on, but then he should've retired years ago. Still, he will be missed. 27 years...... and I can still remember some of his early days in the original mortician gimmick.
Still ...
Take away all the hate Roman gets, but damn this was excellent camera work.
What freaking bizzaro world am I living in where WWE is treating it's current Japanese female wrestlers with some of the highest honours and prominence so far?
Asuka being "undefeated" and the longest reigning NXT or WWE champion of any kind ever in the modern era, and now she will be moving up to RAW. (Please do not fuck it up creative! )
And now Kairi Hojo/Sane just won the Mae Young Classic!!!
There was even reports that Shayna Baszler was going to win it just to grab that MMA and ESPN moment and considering Ronda Roussey was there as well to set something up and gain more media attention.
But ........ ?
What next? On the male side, Nakamura finally winning the WWE championship next month at Hell In a Cell?
2017 has somewhat been Year of Japan again for videogames, and it might well be the same in WWE? The most MURICKAN-centric and biased company ever?
Given that both RAW and Smackdown have been pretty entertaining these past few weeks and the quality of stories and feuds have stepped up a notch, the hell is going on?
Xavier and The New Day may have lost the Smackdown Tag Team titles at HIAC, but if he manages to make a belt out of this and eventually wears it on TV, that's a consolation prize out of it.
Wow, both Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka win their respective Royal Rumbles. 2018 Year of JAHPAN getting it's long due appreciation?
So WWE finarry gives the fans what they want with Nakamura vs Aj Styles repeating their Wrestle Kingdom 10 match at Wrestlemania. After a lackluster main roster year for Nakamura, this is pretty much what is needed for him.
And in no big surprise, Ronda Rousey also makes her debut. Looks like another contender for either Asuka or both RAW or Smackdown Women's Championships depending on wherever they are going to go. Also been confirmed Ronda has signed a full WWE contract as well.
Speaking for JAHPAN as well, looks like Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi are back together as the Golden Lovers? "Ryu and Ken" are back!
Got bit of a Bullet Club split going on at the moment too.
