Bamco throwing salt in the wound of not having news .... other than pachinko
Re: Marvel, I know some of the mains not being in MvCI will be a sort spot, people will adapt rather than throwing Marvel to the curb. Personally, I'll only miss Jean Grey and Psylocke, but it's not like I invested much time into it since DC days.

Re: Nuances of the Fighting Genre
I prefer Taki's SC/SCIII theme.
They should've used If There Were Any Other Way as that is the true "SC Anthem".
The only one that hasn't been HD'd yet is SCIII and it's clearly the most underrated and content filled one. The "Chronicles of the Sword" mode was a great idea that they could've rebuilt and retooled on for later games but never did i.e. to give crappy Lost Swords some real depth.

Sorry, I know this is not really "official" news, but BrutalAce just shared this with me on dA:
The loose hair option was my request. Release date is Thursday, December 8th.

Re: Nuances of the Fighting Genre
According to NeoGaf, the director for MvCI is Norio Hirose, and given his credits, I think the game may be in VERY safe hands and it explains ALOT about the gameplay and mechanic designs for it.
Sure, there is still huge chance that Capcom may still screw this up due to their "quairty business" decisions especially in the 2010's years, but it is possible they can get back to form.
If SNK are going back to it's roots, surely Capcom has to follow suit!
Don't become a Fuck Konami.

Finarry! Garou MOTW is now on Steam!
http://store.steampowered.com/app/366240
Unfortunately though there still seems to be a few kinks that need to be ironed out. I hope SNK is reading comments on the review sections and makes the appropriate changes to make this a truly awesome port.
