The avengers is the best comic adaptationl. Robert downey jr is very funny eventhough in the comic ironman is a very serious man

That no one can argue with. As a fan service comic book superhero movie, The Avengers shows that it can be done and I hope Marvel Studios can keep it up. Hulk as a slight comic relief was amusing too.

Iron Man 3 is going to be interesting with the Extremis stuff and quite a serious tone itself.

Well it's finally here, now we get a look to see what it's like.

Looks quite dark and moody. And with Hans Zimmer on the music, ehhhh.... I just hope it's passable. I mean, even the Nolan Batman Trilogy I found the theme to be pretty boring and sounds like his typical work.

I also wonder how long the film will be since going from his origin and younger days and then to the world knowing about him, looks to be alot to get through.

Believe it or not, but the last Superman movie I watched was 4. It looks interesting, hopefully it will be better than Green Lantern.

Give Superman Returns a go.

For nostalgia and connecting to Superman I and II, it does a decent job of it, but then it's also what let it down. There just wasn't enough action and for the modern era, it's very much like the old-school films.

I'll check if it's on demand. There are a couple comic book based movies that I need to watch. I do want to see Thor and Captain America. Also, I would like another Blade movie. I thought the trilogy was quite good.

Actually surprised... The Starship Troopers anime (Invasion) that came out recently was halfway decent. It's at least better than the 2 sequels the original had. Still campy, but the CG was reasonably impressive. Lacking in the animation department, but at least entertaining.
