Re: Beginner Question: Mesh Mod changes reflective appearanc
Just to follow up: I downloaded the newer XPS and the model where I played around with the ascii number seems to show up properly. One model (that I didn't change the values) remains glassy-eyed. Thought this would give some closure to this. I greatly appreciate the detailed troubleshooting you guys...

Re: Beginner Question: Mesh Mod changes reflective appearanc
Didn't seem to make a difference. While I can't come to any satisfactory solution to fixing, it's an ez work-around to simply create the weapon-holder mesh as the invisible placeholder with only the weapons visible and super impose it over the original shiny/reflective character. To be safe i should...

Re: Beginner Question: Mesh Mod changes reflective appearanc
I might need a lil bit of hand holding.iheartibuki wrote:Try removing the _1_1 from the render group. Make a copy first before you save it.
So i literally just search for _1_1 and delete them manually ? then save as the new mesh.ascii ?
I suppose its good learning for me

Re: Beginner Question: Mesh Mod changes reflective appearanc
PWA: I did a search and I've gotten lines such as 24_pads_0.6_1_1 24_top1_0.5_1_1 24_top3_0.5_1_1 27_fro_0.5_1_1 I only have 3 values after the meshpart description rather than 4, and i'm getting 0.6 and 0.5 rather than 0.1. I searched for "0.1_" and returned nothing either. It does not ap...

Beginner Question: Mesh Mod changes reflective appearance
I'm trying to attach weapons to characters meshes. They came from the same zip package so I assumed there wouldn't be any incompatibilities. However, the new model I get does not have the reflective shine of the original. Is there a way I can ensure this? http://imgur.com/2tdA1s7 http://imgur.com/2t...

Re: Character Model Requests
Anyone finishing up the remainder of the Soul Calibur models? All the women are done (there are multiple versions even of some outfits, plus some of the DLC costumes) which is great. If you don't include the strange nude versions (I suspect is the same body with different heads), then there are only...

Re: Quality Drops after Rescaling Size
Does this issue happens just with that model or every model? Did you try to make the modification again, maybe even closing and reopening XPS? Not all models. I've resized and saved over most of my models so I have to redownload from the source to compare. When I realized how messed up the face was...

Quality Drops after Rescaling Size
I've been trying to save re-scaled models in XPS (the soul calibur models tend to have freakishly large hands) but some of the models seem to deteriorate in texture quality. I apologize since my xps specific vernacular is very layman's so I may describe the wrong thing. Anyways here is a sample imag...

Re: Soul Calibur Series Models
If you're using XPS you can play around with the scale sliders, I typically resize mine to around 80%. But mind you you will also have to the size of the weapon because that becomes smaller too. I'd say scaling the weapon to 120-125% will probably do the trick. I am interested in this. Im' using XP...
