My guess is flipped faces/normals. Try ticking the '2-sided' box in material editor, see if that did anything. If it's no good then: Go to the modify tab after clicking the model, then apply an Edit Normals modifier. Select all (Ctrl+A), then click unify. If that doesn't work, delete the modifier, a...
