The fbx never gave me any problems with LOD meshes, though I imported them differently. I used noesis to convert it to mesh.ascii using the mesh.ascii script and then imported that into blender. I'm not sure why you have LOD mesh problems :? Maybe try the way I did it and it might work better? Only...

Daz, do you mind explaining through what do you convert these files? I'm getting nasty LOD meshes out of this only, and I might wanna convert something in the future.

Usually the result of things looking like this in XPS are doubles, but I was meaning what I see when I import those. Reparenting aside, something really weird is going on with the meshes, I don't understand how LOD works, but this is a one huge mess.

Yep, exactly, but while DOA hairdos are usually neatly layered meshes, the problem can be avoided, but Barb's hair are messy so there's really nothing that can be done, unless we invent a magical comb
